Rosy1013 Posted September 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2016 Hello Cruise Critic! I'm trying to pick out a camera and having a very difficult time. I've done some preliminary research, but still can't decide. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good Point and Shoot for a beginner? I would primarily be interested in taking pictures of scenery and people. I'm looking at a maximum $500 price range. Again, I'm just a beginner. Thanks! Baded Posted September 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2016 If you use on cruise think about something like Nikon AW 130' water proof, you can take in and under the water, shock proof and about $349.00 Amazon, Good luck
Captain Canuck Posted September 28, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2016 I used to be seriously into cameras. back in 35 mm film days. now have a Sony DSC H400 has an amazing 63 times optical zoom and 20 megapixel probably under $300 in the US. got a couple of spare lithium batteries cheap online. all you really need for normal photography and no longer carry 50 pounds of gear
