Questions for "Free" Empress Cruisers

Trying to figure out how I was chosen to receive a free cruise. I do make quite large donations to the casino when I cruise, but I don't put my Seapass card in the machines so RC has no way of knowing. I haven't used my card in many cruises, since I would forget and walk off, leaving it.

I am D+ with another cruise booked for January. Does that fit a pattern with any of you?

Regardless of the reason, I am excited to be sailing on October 29th. Anybody else going on that one? My offer was for an inside cabin, but I upgraded to an OV.

Anybody who's been--tell us about the casino!

Bon Free Voyage!!!

There was quite a bit of discussion about this on the Diamond/Diamond Plus/Pinnacle thread. There seems to be no pattern as to who got the email offer. Some of us were small time slot players (600 points earned over 7 days), some were big time slot players. C&A status didn't seem to make a difference. Did seem that more folks living in Florida got the offer, guess since they thought we'd drive down to Miami.

Personally I did not find it attractive enough to still spend about $500 for a 4 day cruise on an older ship going to the same old ports. Folks we could easily drive to Miami may have found it worthwhile.

This offer seems to be more related to them trying to fill the Empress cabins while it waits for clearance to start sailing to Cuba, which is why the dates are only until end of year, rather than the recent changes to the casino loyalty program that will keep slot players such as myself from being asked to join the CR Players program and be offered discounts on the more desirable ships.

We had a free cruise on Freedom last year end had a great cruise. We received the offer again this year for Empress but, we already have 2 cruises booked for November and December so can't do it.:(

We do gamble quite a bit in Vegas and spend quite a bit of time onboard the ships but, we are not "big" gamblers by any means.

We have friends that have only been on Royal 4 times and they also received the offer.
