ae2009 Posted October 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2016 I am trying to determine if it would be cheaper to book through the cruise line (110% price guarantee) but I can't find the excursion on their site. Most of the excursions don't name the places in the title. Does anyone know if Carnival offers one to Playa Mia and if so what is it called. Thanks! Xerxella Posted October 7, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2016 I was wondering this same thing. And, what beaches DOES Carnival use?
Rare crewsweeper Posted October 7, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2016 I believe they do. But, you can go to Playa Mia, or any of the larger beaches on your own and just pay as you go for food drink, use of any rentals like kayaks or snorkeling gear. They also offer various excursion packages. https://playamia.com/cozumel/index.php Taxi rate for up to 4 people is 220 Mxn Pesos. About $12 on current exchange rates but you might get charged a little more as taxis don't alweays use current rates. Add $30 to any costs for RT taxi. if comparing prices versus Carnival. Carnival's 100% guarantee won't apply to DIY. Carnival has also used Playa Uvas and Sunset Beach in the past for excursions.
