Rare steve4031 Posted October 19, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2016 If I understand correctly it's for pretty severe weather. I've been on 5 cruises and have not experienced severe weather. There of course is always a first time.[emoji41] I'm booked in a cove on the dream out of Nol on 6/25/17. My question is, are there certain conditions that dictate that they are closed off? For example the crew observes that wind or storms will cause the waves to be x feet high and thus cove balconies must be secured. Or is it more at the discretion of each individual captain? I'm just curious. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
maldenmusic Posted October 19, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2016 I never even thought about this. I have a CB booked for our December cruise.
ryansmith18 Posted October 19, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2016 I don't have a firm answer to your question, but I've been on two cruises with Cove Balconies, each time with some pretty rough seas. This was never an issue. Wife and I were out on the balcony as the ship was rocking back and forth.
