RCI Travel Insurance vs. Travel Guard

I have always purchased the Cruise line insurance through Royal Caribbean. Never needed it after 25 cruises with them until this year. Had to cancel last minute (2 days before cruise) because of illness and every single dollar was refunded minus the cost of the insurance. Was so easy and stress free.

If I am driving to the port or flying within USA I get the RCl insurance since its price is not age related and I have only the cruise and medical expense. When traveling overseas with airfare, hotel and transfers and larger med evac expenses involved I get the 3rd party insurance even though it is more expensive.
