maggieq Posted November 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2005 Would like suggestions on a beach for a day that is not too far from the pier and offers facilities, chairs, restrooms, etc.
Douglase Posted November 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2005 A close beach within walking distance would be The Boatyard which includes chairs & restrooms. Amy
snowcat Posted November 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 4, 2005 Douglase - I, too, am looking for information on beaches in Barbados. You said Boatyard is within walking distance of the pier....about how far is it to the beach? What direction do I head when exiting the pier shopping area to get there? Thanks! The return walk is even longer, what with the weaving and the zigzagging…..
pholter Posted November 4, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2005 Yes, Definitely take a cab to the Boatyard!!! It's too far of a walk, especially once you've partaken in a few adult beverages :) I believe it's $6pp cab fare, but I did hear prices were going up. snowcat Posted November 4, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2005 Thanks for the info! A long hot walk in the sun is not my idea of a good way to round out a relaxing beach day, especially after partaking of beverages.....taxi it is! Do you know if the $6pp is one way or round trip?
