Upscale Hotel Near Port of Miami

We are sailing on the Carnival Valor on 12-25-05. My wife and I along with our teenage daughters age 15 and age 17. We are flying into FLL on 12-24-05 and I would like to treat my family to an early Christmas present by staying in one of the upscale hotels in the area. Since we are flying in to FLL and sailing out of Miami. Would you recommend a hotel in Miami or Fort Lauderdale? I would love a nice hotel that my teenage daughters would also love. Any Suggestions?

Oh I'm sure they would like South Beach best! I love all 4 of those hotels, but Hotel Victor is extremely cool and right on Ocean Drive, next door to Casa Casuarina, the former Versace mansion. Ocean Drive is full of sidewalk cafes with some of the best people watching on the planet. A block away on Collins Avenue are many nice shops I'm sure they'll love as well. ;)
