Rencruzr Posted October 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2016 Hi, I'm doing a voyager of the seas cruise with my nephew tomorrow after his mum had to pull out and they haven't got a lot of money so was wondering what the best value shore things to do for Isle of Pines and Noumea?? I've heard it's cheaper to organise a tour directly on Isle of Pines once on shore? Is there a cheap hop on hop off bus in Noumea. There is a cruise tour to turtle cove I think it's called but very pricey. Thank you
kate59 Posted November 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2016 Probably too late to answer this for you now. Isle of Pines - you can just walk from the ship over to either beaches to swim or lay under the shade. There are a few shops but not much really. 2 years ago we had a group of girls and we organised a tour in a mini bus for not much, you can also see if you meet up with others who want to share a mini bus. Noumea - twice I have been there and I just wander around, check out the crafts in the cruise terminal. There were tours available on the dock for cheaper than ship. Depending on the day you are there they also have some markets off to the left when you come of the ship, ie street next to the main street. Hope you have fun.
