Pearly Beach?

Has anyone gone to Pearly Beach? Carnival has an excursion there which we are considering due to negative (rocky) reviews of Bamboo Beach. We wil have a 6 year old with us and just want to go to a nice beach with beautiful soft sand and blue water for a few hours. (Maybe get her hair braided, too)
