El Yunque and del Morro same day?

Hello Soccercoach,

 

El Yunque is at least an hour drive from San Juan if memory serves me correctly. The excursion is 4 hours, but you need to factor in the time it takes for them to load the bus, traffic, etc. You probably will not be leaving at 7:00 a.m. Honestly, I would not attempt to do both in the time frame that you have as you'll need to be back on board by 2 or 2:30 p.m., depending upon your ship. We have been to both El Yunque and El Morro. The first time we did El Yunque through the cruiseline excursion. Honestly, because we are big shutter bugs, I would really have liked much more time there. We did El Morro on another trip - and did it on our own as Old San Juan is very easy to get around on foot. We were at the fort at least 2-3 hours.
