We came back Monday from five days aboard the Elation....Nassau was the same as ever and Freeport had one building they were really having to start over on..( we didn't venture much out of the port area) but since we'd been there many times it still looked the same to us! :D

I know Unexso only had minimal disruption due to Matthew, and they were inviting locals to hang out at their facilities in the days after the storm passed.

This is a month old, but this is a pretty thorough account of Matthew's impact on Grand Bahama:

We were just ion the Bahamas last week (Tuesday the 8th and Wednesday the 9th). Nassau is very much "business as usual". They had minimal impact.

We were only the second ship to be allowed to dock back in Freeport. While most places were open (Grand Lucaya Resort was not), evidence of the impact was everywhere. Lots of homes and businesses leveled or very badly damaged. We had a private guide for the day who made it quite memorable for us. They are working like crazy to get all the touristy places up and running.
