Freeport - non water activity

This will be a first for me ... but I'm looking for non-water activities to do in Freeport --- we will be in Freeport January 3rd and I know from past experience that the water will be too chilly for me ... so, now wanting to try something different and not water related.

 

Typically in Freeport we go to Grand Lucayan resort and hit up the pool / beach. Any ideas / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We went on an island tour which included visiting the garden of the groves and then stopped for lunch at port Lucaya which we really enjoyed

I forgot to mention (and too late to edit my original post) ... We book excursions / tours outside of the cruise line ...either with independent vendors or by just grabbing a taxi at the port.

We did the island bike tour booked through Carnival last year, and it was terrific and well-worth the cost! Stopped at the gardens for lunch along with great facts provided by the tour guide in the bike ride.
