Rare crewsweeper Posted December 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2016 I haven't but I've seen people attempting to fly or spin cast off the beaches along the malecon. I don't think they were having much success, too active of a waterway. The flats fishing in Chetumal Bay though is excellent...bone fish, tarpon, dorado, etc.. Maya Beach Gardens, north of the costa Maya port using a guide service PescaMahhaual which takes small parties and gets good reviews from land vacationers. But they can be expensive. There are several deep sea fishing boats out of the village.
SeanHoll Posted December 2, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted December 2, 2016 Cool, I'll try contacting PescaMahhaul. Not to interested in deep sea, I can do that here. Thanks for the info! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare crewsweeper Posted December 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2016 I went back searching as I knew there was another guy in Mahahual that has a good rep. It's Nick Denbow, Western Caribbean Fly Fishing, as I recall. there are You Tubes and he has a website, but I can't pull it up at the moment.
