Should we do playa Mia through the ship (Allure) or on our own? Thoughts?

Ive done play mia a dozen times on out own. Small can ride and pay admission. I usually get there a few hours before the busses. Cabs are also plentiful for return to ship.

One advantage of booking through the ship is that the shuttle bus transfers are okay for kids without car seats; otherwise you need to bring your own car seats and strap them into the taxi.

I was wondering the same thing! This is very helpful! Also, how much for a cab ride from the port to Playa Mia and how long does it take to get there?

We did Playa Mia on our own last month. It's easy enough plus you're there with your choice of chair before the ship excursion and you can stay later than the ship excursion equals more time at the beach.

 

Taxi was easy enough, 15 minute ride? $21 for 5 of us I think.
