Suncoaster Posted March 16, 2006 #327 Share Posted March 16, 2006 Funny how some get their cabin numbers and others don't. We would have been one of the last to book yet we got our cabin number, yet you have not Karen. May be it has something to do with upgrading some but not others, who knows. Does any one know? We have second dinner booking confirmed, though we requested first, but that's okay, just may have to take a Nannie nap in the afternoon so we can stay up later. Cheers Val
karmac Posted March 16, 2006 #328 Share Posted March 16, 2006 My TA told me it had to do with being upgraded. Who really knows? We are on 2nd sitting (at our request). Who knows, we may end up on the same table. At least Alex would have someone to talk to. BTW what cabin are you in? Karen

Karen It's strange though, we have been given cabin numbers in the past but when we turn up they have upgraded us, P&O is not very consistent. Suncoaster Posted March 19, 2006 #330 Share Posted March 19, 2006 Hi Fellow N611 Cruisers. We are just back from a weekend camping trip. Fell into bed at about 8.30pm on both nights, so looks like we may not be the life of the parties on the cruise!!! Though we were without phones, TV and even the batteries in the radio went, so there was not much to do. Maybe we were just resting up for staying up in a couple of weeks time!! We did spend most of the day eating and sitting watching the sea, so good practise there.. Not long to go now, Val

sweet_successes Posted April 3, 2006 #334 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Hi aussie I'm here - currently sitting in a motel room - 300kms from my family for work so am surfing the internet - messaging my family via msn and watching Carla and Connie - movie starring toni collete. sweet_successes Posted April 3, 2006 #335 Share Posted April 3, 2006 hey guys we're all friends here - in most cases I'd say were like a big family of cruisers. I need to vent a bit about my boss and the changes that I had to make to my cruise - i've managed to control my anger but when I get sent over 300 kms away from my family on and off for 4 weeks - i get pretty p****d off. I currently work for a government department who at the beginning of march decided to rip my project from under me with it now ending at the end of June 2006 instead of end of june 2007. They have told me they will find me another position that is similar to the one I am doing but in a town of 8 000 that is going to be difficult. They then decided to tell me that the leave that I had been approved for for our anniversary cruise in Sept/Oct could not be guaranteed as I might have a different boss. So after much tooing and frooing we changed our cruise to one before the end of june when my current manager can still approve my leave. The pain in the butt is that since it got out that my leave has been approved and that I am taking 3 weeks leave in the middle of the school term (a no no - but I don't teach a class) they have been sending me to workshops and meetings 300km away every week so I am going home on weekends and as such missing my hubby and kids heaps. The plus to all this is I am now going on cruise for my 35th birthday and its even longer - 13 nights instead of 7 but the extra cost was a killer - how much spending money do i need to take for 2 adults??? Thanks for letting me get this off my chest - hubby and friends don't seem to understand why i'm cranky about this!! love Rach
Past it Posted April 3, 2006 #336 Share Posted April 3, 2006 Thats most unfair rachel,I hope its all the sweeter for having to work so hard for it.I don't think you will need that much for spending. The drinks are where your money goes.I only had a lemon, lime, bitters when watching the show.after I had a cocktail. During dinner just had water and on formal nights had a wine. So I didn't go through much on the drinks. during the day there is free juice and coffee and I drank heaps of iced water from the buffet. The casino is another place that will eat the coins up. Overall I shouldn't think you would go over $500. Have you been before? Sometimes you can be tempted with the souveniers :D I,m the same this cruise as I don't want to spend much as I have a big one in Sept that will take big bucks. I have been saving and doing 3 jobs to get the money together for it,my daughter talked me into the sun cruise with her. I really should be staying put and saving the money
aussiedisneyfan Posted April 3, 2006 #337 Share Posted April 3, 2006 How rude of me. Write a post and then disappear. Sorry Sweet_success that I wasn't around to talk to you. Your job situation really sux. Hope you get a job that you are happy with. I am lucky that I haven't had to travel much for my job so when I do it is exciting. I would be lucky to travel once every couple of years. We did the 13 night cruise in February and spent around $900 for 2 adults and 1 child. I became a coke addict so lots of $2 each day. Daughter had a mocktail most nights at the shows and I had the occasional cocktail. We bought about 6 photos this time so that really jacked up our price.
