Ft Lauderdale Resturants

Next April we will return to Ft Lauderdale on our Legend cruise--we will have about 5 hours to kill before our flight home--I'm sure there are some great places for lunch in the area. Any ideas?

LaPaloma......let me put on my "thinkin' cap".....my favorite restaurant is the Riverside, but I'll check to see if they serve luncheon. There are so many interesting and fun places in Ft. Laud.

Edit - I just noticed that the Las Olas location is only open for dinner. Well if you can get to my neck of the woods in Boca, the Mizner Park location is open for brunch! :)

On SE 17th Street, right near the Port, is Bimini Boatyard. You can sit on the dock with all the mega yachts in front of you!!! Do a good lunch - medium price!! If you want a/c - it is nice inside also - big though!!! One of our fave places!! On Las Olas Boulevard - many restaurants, including Cheesecake Factory. Yes, Riverside Hotel also do lunch!! However, Bimini Boatyard is closer to the port. There is also an Outback and Giorgios, a pizza place and some Mexican places on 17th Street. Three thousand restaurants in Ft. Lauderdale!!! Take your pick!!!

LaPaloma, I'm thinking of your luggage......I believe that the girls at the Riverside would be more than happy to store it safely where some of the other restaurants might not have a place for the luggage.

Another idea would be Mango's on Las Olmas. Or perhaps one of the hotels.....you could store your luggage there, also.

Thanks for all your great help, but Lola has got the hots for lunch at Joes Stone Crab on South Beach--we arrive at 7am, and our flight is at 4pm--so guess its get a limo--have lunch at 11:30, and back to Ft Lauderdale for our 4pm flight--all you South Florida folks--can we make it??? Don

The stone crab season runs from October 15th to May 15th; so you will be getting the fresh claws. You should be fine on time as rush hour won't have started until the time your flight departs.

But try RUNWAY 184 for a fun time, throwback to the 40s and 50s and believe it or not really good food.
