Pre-booking on Escape

My wife and I are VERY excited to be sailing on this ship at the end of January. I managed to make 3 dinner reservations at the specialty restaurants but for the shows it's proven to be difficult. My question is - do they fill up this fast or does NCL only allow for a select number to be reserved prior to sailing. I'm hopeful that once we get on the boat, we'll be able to make reservations for a couple of shows because as of right now - I have not been able to.

They only reserve a certain percentage pre cruise for both restaurants and shows. You should still find availability when you board the ship, but I'd take care of it as soon as possible as many others will have the same plan. You can book shows at the box office or by using the Iconcierge app, sometimes even from the waiting area before boarding starts.

Download the app precruise, and then activate it as soon as you board or are able to access the ship's signal. There is also the stand by line at every show which requires reservations, and most report getting in. I never saw a full show. The comedians will be the most difficult because the venue is so small. They did do a few comedy shows in the theatre, no reservations needed, so watch your Freestyle Daily.

Which venue is used for the comedy show on escape?

I believe it's called Headliners. Fairly small, like a comedy club generally is. It's difficult as none of the comedy shows can be booked precruise. They offer several different shows with different comedians, but it's hard to fit one in between dinner reservations and res for other shows and when you did find one that fit, invariably it was sold out by the time you called. If that happens, try the standby line.
