Jim B Posted November 8, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2005 Hi Trent. We have worked out leaving our luggage at HIEX Convention Center when we check out on 12/27/05. We will catch a cab to the King Tut exhibit. My question is. Do you think we will have a problem catching a cab BACK to the hotel when we are finished with the exhibit? TrentS Posted November 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2005 No, you won't have any problem getting a cab. You can also take the Water Taxi too if you want... http://www.watertaxi.com/FortLauderdale/FLLHome.Asp
Jim B Posted November 9, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 9, 2005 Well now that would make it interesting. Thank you for telling me about the water taxi. From HIEX I think we would go across the street and to the back by the water correct? Something like 15th street fisheries??
TrentS Posted November 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2005 No, 15th Street Fisheries is the next stop... Your directions are correct though, from Holiday Inn Express go to the Marina Marriott, below the 17th Street bridge.

TrentS Posted November 9, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2005 I thank you againApproxiamtely how long will it take from Marina Marriott to the exhibit? For some reason I can't seem to figure this out. From Holiday Inn Express or any of the other SE 17th Street hotels it's about 10 minutes or so by car to the Museum of Art, about 20-30 minutes by Water Taxi. tispwisp Posted November 15, 2005 #10 Share Posted November 15, 2005 Trent - I love the link to the water taxi! Thanks so much for providing it! We will be staying at the Hyatt and going to the King Tut exhibit before our April cruise. Which water taxi stop would we get off at to go to the exhibit? Thanks for your help! tispwisp Posted November 17, 2005 #14 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Trent - one other question: Is it possible to walk to the museum of art from the Hyatt? We regularly walk 5 to 7 miles a day. The problem with the water taxi is that our King Tut viewing time is at 9:00 a.m. and the water taxis don't run until after 10:00. We would like to walk to the exhibit and take the water taxi back. Is that possible?
TrentS Posted November 17, 2005 #15 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Well yeah, it's certainly possible to walk if you love walking long distances. It's about 3 miles each way.
