Hello fellow cruisers,

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this happening on the NCL star? ATM running out of money 2-3 days before the last day?

This has happened to me the past 2 cruises Ive been on, on celebrity and carnival, it makes me mad, since its scary to carry too much cash, and then in order to get money i had to go to the purser desk in which i was charged 28$ to get 300!!!! out of my own checking account, that was ridiculous, i was just wondering so i can be prepared in JAN when we board the star,,

any input id appreciate,,

thanks

If you and the ATM run out of cash - just go to the casino and charge chips to your onboard account - no fee - cash them in you are done.

Yup thats what I do. Charge chips to my onboard account and no fee. Then just cash the chips in later. ;)
Ditto for me. Been doing it for years and I don't have to pay for it until my credit card statement comes a month later usually. It's like floating yourself a loan.

If you charged the chips on your NCL credit card, wouldn't you get a 4% credit on your rewards account?

You do earn the 4%. We take the $1000 a day maximum in the casino and just bring the cash home to pay off the credit card bill at the end of the month. We love earning all those extra reward points.

Yes, because the charge is added to your shipboard bill and one charge is made to your credit card at the end of your cruise. It's not considered a cash advance so you get all the benefits of a regular charge.

I think everybody should be aware of the cash from seapass card theory. This might be new, or might just be the Crown's policy. But when withdrawing money out of the seapass card, you are asked if the money was for the tables or the slots. If you said slots, they made you take half the money in those nasty coins. I had a big argument with the lady and told her I would just get back in line and cash those nasty coins in, she said she wouldn't take them if I hadn't played the machines yet. I called over the manager and he told her to give me all cash.
