sp29488 Posted November 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2005 This will be our 5th Carnival Cruise and on the past cruises we've gotten the dining times we wanted. I've read where RCCL will tell you ahead of time the time you have. I've never checked to see if Carnival would do that. Has anyone called before their cruise (one week ahead or so) and asked what time they had for dinner?
kitty9 Posted November 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2005 If you request one dining time, they usually honor your request. But not even RCCI lets you know ahead of time what time you're dining. The maitre'd only does table assignments the week before your cruise begins.
Cotton Posted November 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2005 Darcie is correct. You won't know your seating until you receive your Sail & Sign card just prior to boarding. More than likely, you'll get what you requested, but if not, see the Maitre d' and ask for a change.
imatarb Posted November 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Do you see the maitre d' on the first night in the dining room, or is it something you can do upon embarkation?
Cotton Posted November 12, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2005 When you first arrive at your cabin, there will be a copy of the "Capers", the ship's daily newsletter. In there will be an announcement as to when and where the Maitre d' will be to accept requests for changes.
serene56 Posted November 12, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2005 Do you see the maitre d' on the first night in the dining room, or is it something you can do upon embarkation? When we get onboard the first thing we do is check out our dining assignment..then head to the dining room to see where our table is located. (to date we have been very happy) the earlier you see the matre de with changes the more likly you will get what you need changed. If you go later in the afternoon you could encounter a line requesting changes. (I have not ever seen that)
sandirichard Posted November 12, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2005 On RC our dinner time was in our documents. This was a month before our cruise. We did not know what table but we did know time
