Suki1527 Posted January 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Hello All, We are cruising NCL Epic on 2 week back 2 back from Port Canaveral. This means we're in Port Canaveral for the crossover day (Saturday) in between from 8am till 4pm but all aboard is 2pm according to Maritime law on their site. We are a party of 8 adults. We are booked on the Kennedy Space Trip the final Saturday of cruise before being dropped back at airport so My Question is; What can we do on this Saturday for a short time 2-4 hours? Any suggestions? We don't wanna risk going too far in case we don't get back to ship. We don't wanna hire a car either. Are there any shops etc in walking distance or buses? All ideas welcome. Thanks. [emoji2] Sent from my iPad using Forums
Suki1527 Posted January 9, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Ps NCL are not running any excursions on their site so I emailed them and they confirmed they won't run any or arrange anything [emoji849] Sent from my iPad using Forums
Capt_BJ Posted January 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) let's reference this map https://www.portcanaveral.com/PortCanaveral/media/Cruise-Assets/2016%20Images/10188-CAFR-Dev-Map-with-fonts.pdf EPIC uses T-10 on the north or A side .... you are not allowed to walk over the bridge back to the 'mainland' SO ..... you got's to hire a ride to get anywhere ..... as your group is 8 you will almost certainly need 2 taxi .... but you might get lucky with a van (or friendly by sitting in each other's lap) If all you want to consume is 2 - 4 hours (and you don't mention what time of the year) I would simply take a taxi(s) to GRILLS {or Fishlips or Rustys} which are all restaurants 'in the port's Cove area (see the map) ..... you can libate and have a nice meal. I prefer Grills Lion Fish app' at Grills Or ... you can ask to be dropped at Jetty Park if you want a lil beach time (see the same map) Or take taxi to Cocoa Beach Pier ..... a bit farther away https://www.westgatedestinations.com/florida/cocoa-beach/cocoa-beach-pier/ Edited January 9, 2017 by Capt_BJ
