CCCE2003 Posted January 13, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 13, 2017 I guess it will be an adventure for both staff and guests then. I went and checked and apparently there is only 1 Caribbean cruise on her before ours. Thanks for the information.
WupperAV Posted January 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) Don't have the Patters from our recent one but Crown is pretty worn looking. It goes to Drydock in April, probably why the short Carribean. It has some new carpet, (Deck 14 had all new) beds are quite worn, our TV sorta hung at an angle off the wall and couldn't be tightened up. Service in MDR was good to really lousy, one formal night it was 1 hr late serving people, server ran into my wifes chair 8 times. Rolls are hard as doggie biskits and they dole out butter 1 oat at a time like it's gold.Horizons served the best meals we thought. We did eat one in Sabitinis which was great. Good luck. WupperAV Posted January 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2017 Crown will replace Carribean Princess while it is in drydock, then go to drydock in April followed by Alaska.
WupperAV Posted January 14, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2017 After reading ship schedules I found I am totally misinformed. From 14 March Crown will Cruise from Barbados and do Carribean til the April 17th and will then leave for Portugal. It cruises Europe til Sept 2nd then goes to Japan and back to Iceland then to Canada in Sept for US CN east coast leaf peeper tour. Finally shows up Nov 2nd 2017 in Norfolk Va. RVASuz Posted January 15, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Any chance you have your Patters from the 8 day cruise last March? We are looking to go in March on the Crown (St. Kitts, Antigua, St. Thomas, & Grand Turk). Just curious what might be on the agenda. We were on the Star in Alaska in August and had a fabulous time. Thanks!
RVASuz Posted January 15, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Simply what type of activities. We aren't Princess cruisers - short of Alaska last summer which is quite different. Maybe a year old is too far out - but I was only trying to get an idea of what Princess does on this itinerary (which appears to be the same as the one a year ago). Thanks for asking.
