44UOFA Posted January 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Anyone experienced the Chef's Table aboard the Carnival Fantasy? We are sailing 2/11/17 out of Mobile, Alabama and have booked a reservation including a tour of the galley. What types of food are prepared? Worth the $$$? Thanks in Advance! crazycargirl Posted January 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2017 We did a tour of the galley many years ago on this ship. It was free. Very interesting and informative. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
bookcrazy1 Posted January 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2017 I can't remember if we did it specifically on the Fantasy but have done several Chef's table on both Carnival and RCI. We have never had a bad time. It's loooong. Will take a few hours. Food is always different. They usually have some type of "theme". Food is excellent. Nothing like you will get in MDR or specialty dining options. Not for picky eaters. If you enjoy that type of thing, it's well worth the money IMO. Well worth the money for this dining experience. The galley tour is fun and small bites/amuse-bouche (sp?) are served. Then you're escorted to a special dining venue where the chef introduces each dish as it's served on the menu. There are 10 to 12 guests (spaces are limited). Unlimited wine is served and there's plenty of time to really savor each course. I've been to four chef's tables, and I'll be enjoying #5 in a couple of weeks. As long as you're open to trying new dishes, you will love it!
