swiggins1985 Posted January 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Good day everyone! I'm trying to find a historical listing of Carnival cruise ship sailings out of Galveston, TX but I can't! Not only that, it seems as tho the Celebration has disappeared completely from Cruise Critic! Well, not completely, I know Carnival sold the Celebration to Bahamas Paradise but there's no reviews/info on the ship while it was owned by Carnival. Point of all this is, I cruised on a Carnival ship back in 2004 but I can't remember the name. A friend said Celebration but I want to be sure. Is there a list of historical sailings by cruise line and date with ports of call?
cruzeluver Posted January 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2017 If it was in 2004 and you sailed from Jacksonville, then it was Carnival Celebration. If it was from a different port then it was a different ship.
swiggins1985 Posted January 17, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted January 17, 2017 Ahh ok. Good to know! It was out of Galveston so must be a different ship! So still looking for a historical listing then to see which ships did port out of Galveston at that time! Sheri
Rare Essiesmom Posted January 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2017 (edited) Celebration was the first Carnival ship to sail from Galveston, Sept 2000. In August 2002 Jubilee started sailing from Galveston. In Sept. 2003, Elation replaced Jubilee. http://www.portofgalveston.com/DocumentCenter/View/26 I found another site with an excel table which shows Celebration (they list her as Grand Celebration) in Galveston in Jan 2004. TONYnDEB Posted January 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2017 In March 2004 from Galveston, it was either the Grand Celebration or the Elation. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Essiesmom Posted January 18, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Celebration sailed from Galveston through Oct 2004, when she replaced Jubilee in JAX. EM
hurstbear Posted January 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2017 My first Carnival cruise - any cruise for that matter - sailed out of Galveston on September 2004 on the Carnival Celebration. This is the cruise that got me hooked on cruising.

Rare Essiesmom Posted January 18, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 18, 2017 (edited) I think the best you can do is this site: https://www.marad.dot.gov/search/cruise+report/ Scroll down until you see Cruise Statistics. Click on Cruise summary table or cruise detail table. Both will take you to an excel spreadsheet that lists all cruise ship departures worldwide from 1/1/2004 until 2012, when they stopped doing it. Chronological order. It's where I found the info I posted. You can save the table on your computer, but there does not seem to be any way to post a direct link. EM It tells sail date, length of cruise, and itinerary, but just eastern or western Caribbean. No list of ports. swiggins1985 Posted January 30, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Success!! Carnival Elation! Bummer they stopped doing that spreadsheet. It looked like it had some pretty useful statistics on it! (Excel nerd here.):D
