Discount for Carnival excursions?

I was looking at my cruise that leaves in 81 days and noticed that Carnival is no longer advertising "discounts up to 20% off" for booking several excursions at once. I assume that if you do not book your excursions early, they no longer offer any discount? Is that the way it works? I missed it this time, but if I know the rules maybe I can get a discount next time?

Yes, I know private excursions could be cheaper.

Yea, it looks like they're current discounted shore excursions promotion was just for the first 48 hrs after u booked. Fortunately, I was able to round-up my fam and decide on what we wanted to do 7 months from now in 48 hrs, but personally I think thats tough to do w needing money up front after JUST paying the deposit.
