Gingee Posted February 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2017 I was wondering what the ship models cost in the gift stores? I am talking maybe twelve inches long. Somewhere around that.
easyboy Posted February 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2017 I saw some on Ebay. You can use the price as your base when comparing with gift store prices.
pghsteelerfan Posted February 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2017 I purchased a model of Carnival Liberty on our last cruise, which was September 2015, and I still have the receipt. It was $32.95. I don't know if that's the exact amount they charge now since that was over a year ago. The prices could also vary between cruise lines as well. The average is probably between $30 and $35 to purchase on board.
griffy116 Posted February 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2017 $30-35 each. They used to be a lot more detailed. My Grandson started collecting them on his first cruise at 4 years old. He's now 23 and has all of the ships he has sailed on except for one (can't remember the name)because they were out of stock when we were on board. He's pretty much over collecting them now. For the past few years, he'll buy the ship, but it never comes out of the box when he gets home.
