Comparisons to DCL & what do do on the ship?

I am leaving on my first Carnival cruise at the end of February with my entire family and... I'm nervous. I've only ever sailed Disney before now and some things I know I'll be missing are the broadway-style shows and the multiple movie theaters. My husband and I aren't gamblers and game shows don't really appeal to us. What do you do on the ship on days at sea? I'd also love some comparisons to DCL! Thanks in advance!

I've sailed on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. I'll be on the Carnival Magic later this month.
