Back to Back LA & Long Beach

We are interested in taking back to back cruises. First out of LA on Princess, then a day in between and then on to Carnival out of Long Beach.

If we fly into LA any suggestions on where to stay pre-cruise, then suggestions on where to stay pre-cruise for Long Beach, and how to get from the LA Princess pier to the Carnival Long Beach area.

Thx

A transportation company like Prime Time Shuttle or Super Shuttle would work for you on both pre & post cruises. San Pedro, pier for Sapphire Princess is about 25 minutes from Long Beach pier. We stayed recently at the Coast Hotel. The rooms are lovely, the bathroom in marble, the grounds meticulous and their Park, Stay & Sail rate was the best directly booked rate including taxes, even though we didn't have a car! The Breakfast buffet is included (normally $9.95 pp plus tax) and all the taxes are included in the Park/Sail rate we got of $145 total. Right outside in the hotel parking lot is the free shuttle stop to take you to downtown Long Beach and to the Aquarium and Shoreline Village. Again, a wonderful cost savings. They shuttle you free to the Queen Mary for early check-in (go about 10:30 a.m.) for the Carnival Pride. We used Prime shuttle. It does fill up, stop and drop many passengers in different cities so timing takes about an hour or more. You must love Mexico and cruising!

Bon Voyage
