BethV114 Posted February 22, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2017 Hi all. We are sailing MSC Diving in April and have been to all of the ports on our itinerary with the exception of Nassau. It appears we'll be there for about a half day, starting at noon. We chose MSC due to pricing and are also trying to keep our excursions on a budget friendly level. Does anyone have any recommendations on budget friendly things to do with kids (age 6-13) while we are in Nassau? I was thinking perhaps we should have an early lunch or late breakfast on board, then just walk off the ship and head over to Junkanoo beach since the kids all LOVE the beach, but am looking for some honest feedback from other travelers who have recently visited Nassau. Thank you!
BBowCruiser Posted February 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2017 We were just at Junkanoo Sunday. We were at the Tiki area. Byron helped us. Tell him he was on cruisecritic.com, he was excited about that and gave us extra drinks! Ask for the VIP package with chairs, umbrellas, and drinks. He will make some for your kids. He had games for kids (and kids at heart) like the water balloon toss, hula hoop contest, and a relay. We took a Frisbee and played with some kids who were there with their families. It wasn't the most beautiful beach in the world, but it was within walking distance, had restrooms, and everything was reasonably priced.
