kingstonKouple72 Posted February 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2017 From Canada... using our data plans in USA means our cell phone provider puts the screws to us.... is there free wifi when we get off the ship to order an Uber? FYI - I have never used Uber before (don't generally have cause to take cabs... do you need to use the app when done the ride also? (meaning will I need wifi at the end of the ride?) thanks,
xlxo Posted February 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2017 While you are waiting for answers on wifi... who is your cell provider? Telus has been promoting their Easy Roam $7 daily packages for a few years where you can extended your unused home plan into the USA.https://www.telus.com/en/bc/mobility/travel Rogers have also been providing an affordable $5 Roam Like Home daily plan for light users.http://www.rogers.com/consumer/wireless/travel if you have an unlocked phone... Roam Mobility in Canada sells USA sims for TMobile coverage in the states. As a heavy data user when travelling, I like their $3 and $5 packages.https://roammobility.com/plans

Lenliner Posted March 10, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 10, 2017 If you're going to an airport there will be shuttles available $17pp no reservations necessary. Would that include LAX? WE have a 12:50 flight out of LAX. Would you take a shuttle for that, or would we be better off doing a cab, or Uber to get there with enough time to clear security? SadieN Posted March 10, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Yes, $17/pp is for a shared shuttle. Cabs are also readily available. taxifarefinder.com will give you an idea of the fare. There MIGHT be a flat rate, there is one from the other port.
