soyer13 Posted March 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2017 We will be stopping at Harvest Caye during our cruise in March/April and wondered if anyone had done the Rainforest River Tubing excursion offered there? If so did you enjoy? Was the water nice for floating in?
crilski Posted March 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2017 I did that tour in January. They took us off the ship before people disembarked - took us to a dock not at Harvest Caye. Then we boarded a bus for the excursion. They made it out that you'd get wet. Cameras might be in danger. Not at all. But maybe the current changes depending on the time of year. It was relaxing. We just lazy floated down a VERY slow river. We did not see any wild life. Although we saw some families doing laundry. Also a little girl and toddler in her arm shouting and singing to us. If you have mobility problems, they will help you get in and out . . . although it was a chore for some people. They provided lockers at the start to put stuff in that you didn't need on the river. There were bathrooms to use before your lazy river float. Then bused just a little way to get in the rafts. You end up at the part where the lockers are. There is food to purchase and souvenirs. I enjoyed it! But if you were expecting white water and more adventure - nope. Also - in January, no insect spray was needed.
