Raxter54 Posted March 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2017 We will be taking our first cruise out of PC next February. Any suggestions for parking away from the terminal? Would much rather have the shuttle bus driver handle the traffic around the terminal [emoji6] Sent from my Galaxy
SteerageJoe Posted March 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2017 When are you arriving? The day of your cruise or a day before? You can use either hotel shuttles (and parking) or off-site parking (with shuttles)
Capt_BJ Posted March 6, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2017 Park n Cruise .... https://parkcruise.com/ and Park Port Canaveral .... http://parkportcanaveral.com/ are both close to the port and reliable ... their price fluctuates regularly but to get the best price you must pay ahead of time via web. Their prices are within pennies of each other ....

The day of your cruise or a day before? You can use either hotel shuttles (and parking) or off-site parking (with shuttles) Arriving the morning of the cruise, so probably can't use hotel parking. Capt_BJ's suggestion of Park N Cruise or Park Port Canaveral will probably be my best choice....
2013CruiseBride Posted March 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Thanks for the post! We just booked our May cruise this weekend and I'm getting all my little ducks in a row, and this helped immensely! It didn't help me get my mind off my cruise, but that's another story. SteerageJoe Posted March 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 7, 2017 Here is a map of the offsite parking lots explained below: Cost Comparison: Compare off-site rates (January 2017) with ship side rates. Always check their websites for latest pricing because these change often especially during low season: Ship-side parking for 8 days – 7 night cruise – $128 Park Port Canaveral. $10.95 per day when booked online + taxes = $93.81 for 8 days. Park N Cruise. $10.95 per day when booked online + taxes + booking fee = $97.61 for 8 days. 528 Port Cruise Parking. $5.95 per day when booked online + fees + taxes = $57.00for 8 days. Lots of Honor. $6.49 per day when booked online + taxes = $70.41 for 8 days. GoPortCanaveral/Beach Line Transportation. or Beach Line - $8 per person each way shuttle with FREE parking regardless of the length of the cruise = $32 for 8 days (2 people)! By far the cheapest option at this time for small groups. Let's hope it lasts! Please read the GUIDE TO PORT CANAVERAL PARKING for pictures of each of these lots. Generally speaking, the following rules apply when parking off-site (Beach Line is different): Lots are secured behind a fence with security lighting. Port shuttles are free for up to 4-6 passengers. Extra charges apply for larger families. Do not arrive before 9:30am. The staff will be busy helping returning cruisers until then. YOU normally drop YOUR passengers and luggage, then park the vehicle and walk back to the check-in point. Early boarding privileges may not apply! The first shuttles depart for the cruise terminals between 10am and 11am. They run continuously every 15-45 minutes (depending on bookings) until 3pm. Considerations when choosing an off-site parking facility: Location - Park Port Canaveral- Under 3 miles from the cruise terminals on the road to Cocoa Beach. Easy in-and-out location. Minutes from the Port. Park 'N Cruise - Under 4 miles from the cruise terminals on the road to Orlando. Easy in-and-out location. Minutes from the Port. GoPortCanaveral/Beach Line - About 6 miles from the cruise terminals along the road to Cocoa Beach. Parking in the open lot of the Doubletree Hotel. Easy in/out. Lots of Honor - About 10 miles from the cruise terminals BUT on the road to Orlando if you are heading that way! A bit further away (12-15 minutes to the cruise terminals) but easy to get to. The newest of the off-site companies with older/smaller shuttle vans. 528 Port - About 10 miles from the cruise terminals BUT on the road to Orlando if you are heading that way! A bit further away (12-15 minutes to the cruise terminals) but easy to get to. Shuttle Schedule - Not much to choose between Park 'N Cruise & Park Port Canaveral. They are large companies with many shuttles running every 10-20 minutes starting when the ships clear (about 10:30am) until 3pm. 528 Port is newer and smaller with a few shuttles running every 45 minutes between 11am and 3pm. Lots of Honor is the newest option and schedules depend on bookings. Park 'N Cruise, Lots of Honor and 528 Port are located along the road to Orlando! If you are heading in that direction then your shuttle is driving the same direction! Park Port Canaveral is located to the south, meaning you will be doing a bit of backtracking when driving to Orlando but for less than 3 miles. GoPortCanaveral/Beach Line is a different arrangement. There are 3 shuttles at 11am, 12pm and 1pm, then several on the return from the ships. It is located further to the south, meaning you will be backtracking when driving to Orlando. Costs - Shown above, Park 'N Cruise is the most expensive and GoPortCanaveral is cheapest. Online prepay can save you money so try and book ahead of time! Parking Lot Arrangement - Park Port Canaveral has the best parking lot. All tarmac with clearly marked spaces and easy in/out. Gated security. Your keep your car keys. Park 'N Cruise - packed gravel & tarmac with clearly marked spaces. Gated security. They keep your keys in order to extract your vehicle. 528 Port - gravel/grass parking. Gated security. Bookings are managed via ParkJockey and phone support can be slow/inconsistent. Lots of Honor - gravel. Gated security. You keep your keys. GoPortCanaveral / Beach Line - park in a marked area of the Doubletree Hotel tarmac parking lot. It is not gated nor secure despite claims, but hotel security cameras are present. You keep your keys. When busy, Park 'N Cruise and 528 Port have somewhat congested parking patterns, meaning it will take some vehicle maneuvering to extract your vehicle from the congested parking lanes but the staff do their best to have your vehicle ready to go when you arrive. Most lots offer car covers are extra costs.
Capt_BJ Posted March 7, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2017 the two I mentioned, I can recommend the others, I can not .... their reviews have been up and down (most down) and they have not been around as long as the first two. ParkPortCanaveral is also one to watch. They have been using the parking lot of an empty 'space shuttle company' office building. This building has been sold and is now under 'conversion' .... it is unknown if PPC will continue to have access once the new owner moves in and needs the parking .... PPC has been working on the Radisson south lot across the street (behind where the Fairvilla Shop used to be). PPC and Radisson are same ownership so the expansion that way makes sense.
