Pride

Sailing on the Pride in May. Can anyone tell me what time the Pride sails under the BAY BRIDGE and approximately what time does it approach the CHESAPEAKE BRIDGE AND TUNNEL? The Pride now leaves Baltimore at 5 pm so if you sailed awhile and departed at 4 we would need to add an hour to that.

It takes longer than you would think- I checked pictures that I took when we sailed on Pride a few years ago during the month of August (when it stays light out until 9pm) and as we were crossing under the Bay Bridge it was almost dusk... so I think it was very close to 9pm. And that was leaving port at 4pm.

 

If you will be sailing away at 5pm I would add 4.5 hours onto that time to be under the Bay Bridge IMO.

It takes about 2.5 hours after departure to reach the Bay Bridges. If I remember correctly, we reached the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel around 1AM.

Key Bridge should be around 45 minutes after sailaway. The Bay Bridges around 1:50 after sailaway. Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel will be around midnight or so.
