Heartgrove Posted March 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2017 We have booked a cruise to the Baltic Sea in June. But before we embark we are traveling for a week to Bergen, Norway and some of Denmark. Outbound our flights are booked on SAS from IAD Dulles through to BGO Bergen. SAS allowed us to book the connection to Bergen through Copenhagen with only fifty minutes between arrival and departure. I have a few questions. Is this truly doable? I am already anticipating that our luggage may not connect. Do we go through customs at CPH, or not until BGO? Our connecting flight is on a Regional CRJ-900. It appears to leave from a different terminal? For some reason, the next flight on SAS CPH-BGO is not available for booking. I'm concerned that if we do not make the connection that we may need to spend at least the morning at CPH. Thanks in advance for your responses. Danish viking Posted March 10, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Right now the minimum connection time is 40 minutes. It has been 30 minutes before but the airport has having trouble with some luggage not reaching its destination. But with a 40 minute connection time these problems should have gone. You will have to pass immigration but it should not be a problem as the longest line is around 15 minutes (not counting extreme incidents). The gates furthest away should only be 10 minutes away on foot.
TriMomma Posted April 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2017 If they airline is letting you do it, I say "go for it". I have found SAS to be pretty good about getting luggage through their connections.
