Thanks for the information! I was not really worried about someone taking my card, I just wondered how they allowed for purchases if you didn't have a card. Are you 21 (no risk of that being a question for me ;p).

 

I couldn't imagine that they would give up 2 hours of bar revenue, just wondered how it worked.

I've been on 7 CCL cruises about to be 8 and never did not get my card at check in. Is this something new and why doesn't my Carnival Cruise rep know anything about this? Perplexed!!!

We were on the Vista in November and were given our cards before boarding. They must have started this after that month.

I cruised on the Splendor Oct. 30th and the Vista Feb. 25, and both times the S&S cards were in our mailboxes. No problems for us. It worked out fine.

Apparently it comes in a sealed envelope. It would be apparent if someone had tampered with it.

 

Your picture pops up when you use your card, so if they try to use it at any of the bars they won't be able to. I don't think they have had any problems with this so far.
