Advice please: is 12:15 PM flight departure too early?

We will be debarking Celebrity Summit on Sunday, September 10, 2017; scheduled arrival is 8:00 AM.

Does a Southwest flight from EWR (Newark) that departs at 12:15 PM on a Sunday seem reasonably manageable?

Planning to get a shared taxi/van/bus to EWR after exiting cruise terminal at cost of approximately $20 per person. Anyone else done this successfully?

We have cruised many times from Florida but only once from NY and never from Cape Liberty, so we appreciate any helpful advice. Thanks in advance!

If you were on Anthem arriving at 6 am, I would say no problem. Hopefully, some Summit cruisers will respond. I think you would be OK if you self disembark and have a car service waiting for you. I wouldn't be wanting to wait for a shared ride to fill up with random people and then possibly make multiple terminal stops at EWR.

You will probably be OK. The TSA construction should be done by then. Friends arrived early on purpose this morning & it took 45 minutes at terminal C. Our airline suggested we show up an hour early this Sunday.

So ground time if all else was equal I think you could easily get to EWR by 10:30 but if you have to be there by 9:30 - 9:45 it starts to get tighter.
