JTJ Posted November 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2005 The World pulled in yesterday, saw it this morning it's berthed by the sterling casino ship. The paper also had a map of where its been since 1/05, unbeliveable the places and number of stops. Must be nice... http://www.flatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051117/BUSINESS/511170363
cruisingrightalong Posted November 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Great concept for seeing the world. However, I may even get tired of cruising! The big drawback...I will have to wish...can't afford to pay! Lou
superjerryw Posted November 17, 2005 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2005 Despite being very posh, I'll bet the World of Residensea doesn't have a waterfall in the men's room like the Voyager....
JTJ Posted November 18, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Since it's staying almost a week I think what it shows is that PC is becoming a real cruse ship stop. There are also plans to make the immediate area more tourist friendly, this is from the local paper: http://www.flatoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051118/BUSINESS/511180352/1003 "Gateway is proposing a $150 million cruise-ship-themed project that includes a 370-room resort, spa, lagoon to rehabilitate injured sea life like dolphins, turtles and manatees, and a convention center with up to 60,000 square feet of space. Ron Jon's $147 million project would include a 400-room hotel with 20,000 square feet of conference space, a 10-acre Ron Jon water- and surf-park attraction, and a new 60,000 square-foot, two-level Ron Jon flagship store with a "unique architectural design."
