RedBeard78 Posted March 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2017 or if you're a newbie that does not mind being on older, smaller ships with less amenities. There are a ton of non-newbies that like the smaller older ships too.

Nothing wrong with older, smaller ships. I don't need rock walls, jumbotrons or any of the other geegaws. Best cruises ever were on the Carnivale or the old "little white ships" of NCL. That's why they make vanilla and chocolate. There are exceptions, but for the most part, the short cruises are for those that can drive to the port, those that want a quick booze cruise type getaway and those that want to sample a cruise for the first time. Nowadays, it's the larger, newer vessels that I prefer, but I still have not cruised yet on any of RCI's behemoths. SNJCruisers Posted March 24, 2017 #17 Share Posted March 24, 2017 No. This one is May 18 This sailing is a 3 day one, not a 4 day like you mentioned for 100.00. The best I saw for this 3 day one was 309.
winddawn Posted March 24, 2017 #18 Share Posted March 24, 2017 It's actually "Pack and Go." Pack and Play is a collapsible playpen. Actually it is a "Pack and Play" offer. The "play" refers to playing in the casino onboard. This is a casino offer extended by invitation only.
HeresTweety Posted March 24, 2017 #19 Share Posted March 24, 2017 I prefer the smaller ships. Easier to get to know your fellow passengers and to navigate the ship. My hubby has mobility issues and the smaller ships allows us to move around the ship with a little more ease. I don't need all of the new stuff they're putting on the ships now. Don't get me wrong, the newer larger ones are nice.
