gigem_aggies Posted March 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2017 In researching excursion options, I see that some of the Carnival excursion reviews say they tendered directly from the ship to their respective tour groups, thus avoiding an additional tender ride to the pier. Is this the case for most CCL sponsored excursions or will some tender to the pier as well? We are looking at the Sharks and Rays tour, but noticed we could get it through Coral Breeze about $30/pp cheaper. Was wondering if they were the same tour or if the ship sponsored excursion would leave directly from the ship vs. tendering to the pier.
Rare crewsweeper Posted March 27, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 27, 2017 For snorkeling excursions most Carnival excursions leave directly from the ship. The Coral Breeze and the Carnival excursions are 2 different excursions. They may go to the same place, but you would NOT be able to book Coral Breeze independently if it was the exact same excursion. I would do Coral breeze, assuming recent cruisers have had a good experience. They did have some hiccups a couple of years back, so check on this board and on TA for recent reviews. IMO the tender ride isn't THAT long and you get an opportunity to at least put your feet on the mainland.
