Deck 6 carnival dream

Looking at booking a mid ship balcony on deck 6, but see on deck 5 is the casino and several other things, is this loud in the staterooms on deck 6?

If you are considering a balcony cabin, be aware that the deck 5 lanai will be right outside of your balcony and you will have no privacy.

We did deck 6 once and will never do it again. The noise kept me awake every night. It didn't bother my husband or kids because noise doesn't really bother them. But I'm a light sleeper and it was horrible. Deck 5 has night clubs and the casino that are open super late and are really loud. They gave me free ear plugs at the pursers desk which helped a little. But now I never get a cabin above or below deck 5 or the Lido deck.

I booked deck 8, it wasn't much more, thanks everyone for your help! First carnival cruise booked! Been on ncl 7 times, thought we'd try something new!

Yes it will be quieter but you will still have limited privacy. At least you are aft of the hot tub so that is another plus for your location.

We did deck 6 twice. Once over the shops, very quiet. Once over the casino, not too bad but I tend to be up late. Still not too bad.
