Jarronwood Posted November 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Hi everyone My TA managed to upgrade us (for a price) to an aft on LOS, cabin no. 7360. (Not sailing until next June from SOuthampton) Does anyone have any feed back on these particular cabins. Would like to see what I can expect... Have to say it it was these boards that prompted me to upgrade from an OceanView to an aft balcony. Having previously had a mid ship balcony on Explorer a fews years back we were not too concerned about spending the money for a balcony on our Med cruise next June/July until I saw everyones write ups about having an aft. I have constantly rang my TA (internet site) to say I wanted an upgrade provided it was an aft but never had a positive answer to say I was on the wait list so made my weekly call to my TA and spoke to someone different who was so........... good. He looked on his website and said there was cabin 7360 free and also another one on the aft but that had a connecting room. I said if that was all there was that would be fine but within 10 mins he rang back to say that the one next to the connecting cabin was free and so hence I switched my ocean view to this aft. I am really quite excited but would like to see some actual photos and have some feed back about these particular afts cabins. (Got to really start saving tyhe pennies now...) Thank you all in advance.
Jandie Posted November 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Hi! We are sailing GOS Dec. 8 and have upgraded to an aft JS. From the layout the balcony looks huge! I'll gladly send up pics as soon as we get back!
Jarronwood Posted November 18, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 18, 2005 Hi Gandie Um.... what ship is the GOS? DO you mean LOS? We have not got a JS but an ordinry D1 category (aft) but any photos you can take leaning over the back would be great especially if they are pointed down to th 7th deck. When to you depart? What is your iternary?
Crackerjack Posted November 19, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2005 GOS is Grandeur of the Seas. Originally, we were booked a 7 day out of New Orleans, but it has been changed to Tampa. Now we're taking two cruises, back to back - five night, then four night. We have a smaller room without a balcony departing Dec 3, then move to the JS on Dec. 8. We're on Deck 8. Since LOS and GOS are both in the Vision Family, I thought they might look similar from the balcony. :o I'm so excited I can hardly stand it! J. Crackerjack Posted November 19, 2005 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2005 Sorry for the confusion. Didn't realize my DH had a separate login. (Jandie)
settingsail Posted November 19, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2005 Hello We are sailing on the Legend leaving next Saturday . We have an AFT JS cabin no 8082 . i will post lots of pics when we return . I am not sure the size of these on this particular ship is much bigger then the humps , I know on many of the RCCL ships they appear to be much larger . Jarronwood Posted November 19, 2005 Author #8 Share Posted November 19, 2005 Hi everyone, thanks for your help but if anyone has got any pictures or measurements of those aft cabins in the D1 category that will be great. Also can those of you sailing soon and staying in the JS Aft cabins, look down to deck 7, the other aft cabins. Do they have loungers? Thanks everyone and thanks once again for all your tips especially Carolcruiser who without your review I am sure we would not have booked.
