So there are 11 of us sailing on the Vista 6/11, 5 adults ( Mom 62, daughter 27, daughter 20, sister 31 and myself), 6 children ( daughter 13, nephews 10,12, & 13, niece 5 and grandson 5) We are driving down from Jacksonville and looking for the best budget ideas for hotel and parking. We will be driving 3 cars.

We sailed on the Liberty out of Miami years ago but things have changed a lot since then. What are your suggestions?

I assume you are asking about Miami - your post is not very clear.

La Quinta East and Springhill Suites Medical Center are two budget hotels often suggested on this board for cruise parking packages. Better hotels in a nicer area will be found in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood (Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, etc.). All of these hotels are near the MIA airport because downtown hotels charge guests $25-30+/day to park. :o

www.stay123.com and www.parksleepfly.com are two sites to check for cruise parking deals.

None of the hotels includes a free shuttle back to your cars - plan on a $30 cab ride (under $20 in Uber ;))

You might consider staying cheap outside of the MIA/FLL area (West Palm and north) and driving to the port the morning of the cruise -- parking at POM costs $20/day but is covered, convenient and secure. Parking anywhere else in Miami will likely not be covered, will not be as convenient and for sure will not be as secure.

It's your car - do you feel lucky?
