Questions about Cape liberty port

This is our first time arriving at this port and we'll have to fly home on the same day. We are thinking about taking a repositioning cruise. How far is the port from the airport and how much should we expect to pay? Is the Newark airport the closest to the port? Would 2 hours give us enough time to go through security?

Thank you for your help and input!

What ship and date would you be doing this? What time are you considering flying out? Good advice can't be given without this information.

Cape Liberty is about 11 miles from Newark Airport. Shared taxi is $20/pp and private taxi/car service is about $55-65. Transportation to LaGuardia or JFK would be about twice as much. Flying from those airports is generally not recommended.

Flying out before noon is also not generally recommended. Repo cruises are a bit different - everyone getting off the ship requires transportation since no one will be parked at the port. Demand could be high for unbooked cab/car services, so you might want to consider paying to book a private car service.

I'm sorry...Arriving at Cape Liberty at 7am on Sunday 4/29/18. The airport would be the Newark airport. We'd like to fly out around noon if possible so that is why I was asking the questions. That way we could plan it in advance.

Thank you for all your insight and suggestions!
