alabamaprincess Posted April 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2017 This is a question for anyone who has cruised on carnival in Seattle. Does Delta Airlines have a checkin desk at Pier 91? Last year when we cruised on the Carnival Legend we were able to get our luggage and carry it to the Delta Checkin Desk at Pier 91. We were able to get our boarding passes, checkin for our flight and give our luggage to a Delta Airlines employee. It made it a lot easier on us because we didn't have to worry about getting to the airport with our luggage in a taxi. Does anyone know if they are still providing this service in 2017? jimsig Posted April 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2017 According to the official Port of Seattle it does not look like the port itself offers it http://www.portseattle.org/Cruise/Explore-Terminals/Smith-Cove-at-Pier-91/Pages/default.aspx "Please check with your cruise line for availability of onboard airline check-in and luggage handling that allows guests to check in for their airline flight, print boarding passes and check their luggage onboard the ship." However it may be something the cruise line offers independently so you would have to contact them to find out.
liketraveling Posted April 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2017 I cruised Holland America last September out of Seattle Pier 91 and there was a Delta Check in at the end of the Shuttle Buses. It was great we checked the luggage in, got the boarding pass and then caught the Seattle Express to the Airport. It was great not having to shelp the luggage to the airport and wait in line to check the luggage. I can't remember if there was a time cut off to use the Delta Service at the Pier, like flights leaving after 12:00 PM. However Security takes a while to get through. ransrider Posted April 15, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2017 I called RCCL to ask about this option and was told it is bookable on the ship before final day. It's $20 USD per person. You receive your boarding pass and don't see your luggage until you return to your home airport. Not sure if this cost includes what the airline charges for baggage. alabamaprincess Posted April 16, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Thank you for the responses. We did the Delta Checkin/luggage checkin last year and it was very convenient. It is nice not having to worry about dealing with luggage.
