just a tip but we used our Air Miles points to buy walkie talkies.They do not look like cell phone but thye didn't cost us a cent.We used them to keep in touch with each other on a move acros Canada this past summer.They are called Cobras( alot of the cruise ship will rent them to you for a "small"fee)They do not have as good a radiance as the Cobras do so maybe try the Airmiles things and save your money for foo-foo drinks:D

These things have come way down in price. You can buy a pair very reasonably at your local WalMart or even online at Ebay. I can't imagine you're saving much if at all by renting.

I liked that the ones you rent on the ship can be accessed from the wall phones or your cabin phone. Since it's just DH and I, we only need one.
