Shore excursions

Please forgive my ignorance (first time cruiser) but I'd like to know if you can return to the ship at any time when you've left for an excursion?

Do you mean like the leave in the middle of the excursion and go back to the boat or when your excursion is over can you get back on whenever? If it is the second then yes you can get back on whenever you would like before sail away time. You can even get on and get off again and then get back on if you want.

You can also leave an excursion if you want to. We did this two weeks ago on a Carnival Vista Excursion. We just called a cab and returned to the ship. We did let the excursion guide know what we were doing.

Thanks. I pretty much meant returning at any time, but good to hear there aren't restrictions

Just an FYI. If it is a tender port it is usually a long process to get back to the ship and coming and going more than once is not ideal. Still you can return at anytime just like a non-tender.

At a tender port, the ship will dock away from the pier and you will board a tender boat that will take you the rest of the way in. At a non tender port, the ship will dock directly at the pier and you just walk off the ship.
