dvirgada Posted April 16, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Did you take advantage of any specialty dining or drink package? Tips or favorite bar(s)?
micmacmissy Posted April 16, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Did you take advantage of any specialty dining or drink package? Tips or favorite bar(s)? Yes! I had prepurchased First Night Done Right for $15/pp, but then the guy at 150 Central Park convinced me to buy 3 nights for $85. Did that on the spot. We ate at Giovanni's on night one, 150 Central Park on night 3, and Chops on the last night. All three were EXCELLENT. We had $825 of OBC from our travel agent so we did not get a drink package- we are strictly 2 drinks a day, maybe 3 if we are really feeling crazy. Trellis Bar in Central Park was our favorite, such great ambiance...but that was the one and only place onboard where we encountered aloof and disinterested bar staff. It was empty, on two nights we took a table and waited for a waiter. They were behind the bar, wiping down glasses and chatting with each other and basically doing anything other than making eye contact or asking if we wanted to order. Husband finally got up, walked the step to the bar, and STILL wasn't acknowledged. (Again, only guests there!!!) But we went back because we are gluttons for punishment, AND that spot is just lovely. All other bartenders we encountered other than there were good.
egurbi Posted April 16, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2017 For FNDR -- were you assigned Giovannis and/ or were you offered a choice to switch? Some reports that Allure will not let you switch FNDR restaurant and only choice is either Giovannis or Samba.
Rare Captain Funtime Posted April 16, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2017 The Trellis Bar was my favorite on my birthday cruise. Great service. Picked Allure for the Rising Tide. Did not appreciate that they closed the Rising Tide for private functions. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

cruisinrealtor Posted April 16, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 16, 2017 I want your travel agent. Mine is only giving $100 how did you get them to give you $825?
Gquie Posted April 16, 2017 #8 Share Posted April 16, 2017 I'd also like to know how one gets $825 onboard credit. We had to sweet talk our TA to even giving us $100. It was originally $50 only.

Didn't try to change, so I'm not sure if they allow that or not.
Artemus Posted April 17, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 17, 2017 Do you happen to know the price of the Deluxe Drink Package when purchased onboard?
micmacmissy Posted April 17, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted April 17, 2017 Do you happen to know the price of the Deluxe Drink Package when purchased onboard? I believe it was the same as online prior to the cruise- $46 per day plus 18% gratuity.
