Belize Snorkeling Excursions

Hi everyone,

 

We are sailing on the Carnival Glory on May 6th, and we are trying to book our excursions ahead of time through independent providers.

 

We were really excited about the barrier reef in Belize, particularly the Hol Chan Reserve, but the independent excursions we tried to book said our ship leaves too early in the day (3 pm) to get to Hol Chan when you account for transport time from the boat to the shore.

 

I looked into the Carnival supplied excursions, but I don't know if they go to good reefs and the best looking one of them had lots of reviews complaining about overcrowding.

 

Are there any Belize reef excursions you all would recommend for us? Right now we are leaning toward going to Goff's Caye, but some people say the reef there is mediocre.
