We have friends leaving on Pride today. They just got a text that this ship is "running 3 hours behind schedule" and that they should plan on arriving to board 3 hours later than their initial designated time. Anyone know what's going on?

The Coast Guard had to come and pick up a passenger with a medical emergency last night just outside the entrance to the bay. There is no helipad on the ship so it had to hover and send baskets down to pick up the family and then the patient. The wind was so bad that it took a long time to safely complete the transfers. I hope the ending is happy. We docked at 11:30 and made it off at 1:30. We had FTTF and was in the first group off after the self assist passengers.

I hope the passenger is ok. We had a medical evacuation 2 weeks ago on the Valor as we were returning to Galveston. Our course changed more Northern towards New Orleans until the Coast Guard was close enough to send a helicopter. This is the 2nd cruise we've been on where the Coast Guard had to evacuate a guest. Pretty scary for the family.
