i have seen where there is a 5 minute waiting period between drink orders. Does anyone know if this applies to non-alcoholic beverages!? For example, if I ordered a milk shake, specialty coffee or alcoholic drink, could I also get a bottle of water or non- alcoholic drink at the same time? I have never purchased cheers but am leaning towards it in our upcoming vista cruise. Any insights would be appreciated.

technically you will have to wait 5 minutes and many people have. some have said they were allowed to get water with a drink (like coffee) so YMMV

The five minute wait applied to all drinks on our cruise, unless it was convenient to the bartender for it not to. For example I got a Diet Coke, then walking by another bar a few minutes later was refused a water because it had not been five minutes. But on another occasion both my wife and I ordered a non alcoholic drink and the bartender would save themselves time by putting them on the same slip.
